Artist Statement:
The desire to capture the hidden beauty and unexpected in the familiar and everyday, continually inspires me to paint.
The space between or surrounding these objects intrigues me as much as the objects themselves, as does the transformative effect of the ever-changing light upon them.
With quick, broad brush strokes and a loose painterly style, I strive to record the moment light and shadows create an almost tangible bond between individual objects or an object and its surroundings, before the connection all too quickly passes.
