Caroline Matthews - 2024
Having had a successful career in teaching, Caroline is now focusing solely on developing her practice in her North London studio. In 2022 she was accepted as a member of the Studio Fridays group.
Her work captures moments and memories reflecting not only what can be seen, but what is felt. A reminder to feel that sense of awe that trees impart; in light streaming through leaves, in pockets of interwoven branches that carry colour and in the textured carpet of the forest floor. It’s a chance to stop and look again.
This year she has had work selected and sold with the Pastel Society and the Society of Graphic Fine Art at the Mall Galleries in London.
