Jo Chesney - 2024
Tring based pet portrait, wildlife and landscape artist and textile designer, capturing the personality of animals on canvas and painting local landscapes.
Having completed her degree in Textile Design at Central School of Art & Design, Jo worked as a Textile Designer in various design studios and as a freelancer, producing patterns for printed textiles, both for furnishing and the fashion world.
On being introduced to acrylics some years ago, she diversified into the world of pet portraits and animal paintings! Loving the challenge of capturing each animal's personality in paint. It always gives her great joy to see the recipient's face on being given the finished artwork, knowing that the essence of their pet's character has been caught in paint on canvas.
Jo enjoys walking and spends hours walking her two dogs around the local countryside. Being incredibly lucky to have so many fabulous walks right on her doorstep taking inspiration from her local natural environment.
