Hayley Trampenau - 2024
Hayley has drawn animals since she was old enough to hold a crayon. Now she has moved on from crayons (although they sometimes do feature in mixed media work) and in the last few years she has started selling work through galleries, art markets and online.
What’s not changed is the subject matter. Inspiration comes from the natural world. Hailey's biggest passion will always be animals, aiming to capture their beauty, form and movement in her own humorous and maybe a touch whimsical style. She works in Acrylic, ink, watercolour and mixed media.
Hayley lives in Stevenage with her photographer husband and their dogs. Her own dogs are her ‘muses’ and work with them has led into her producing commissioned pet portraits in her ‘cartoonish’ style for lots of other animal lovers. Working from photos and chatting with the customer helps to create a piece they can enjoy in their home or for a special present.
Hayley says “My goal is to bring a smile to the viewer yet remain true to the animals natural spirit and essence”. Reading her feedback from customers her work has brought lots of smiles and joy. She is delighted to exhibiting from her new collection of work at the Ayot St Lawrence show again this year.
