With a distinctive style that is both popular and unique, Cathy paints work that is easily recognisable and has featured in galleries and exhibitions across Hertfordshire.
With a particular interest in birds and the natural world, but taking inspiration from all around, the paintings describe experiences, places and events. The subjects and locations are diverse, including memories of travels near and far, using details from sketches and photos.
The images are built up in layers of oil colour with brushes and a palette knife which adds a textural quality yet retains the lines of the initial drawing.
As a professional artist, Cathy paints full time from her studio in Hitchin.
