Angela Roberts - 2024
Angela has always been a creative soul, but only turned her hand to painting in latter years. Her creative skills were formerly evidenced in rag doll making. These were sold internationally and were in much demand domestically at Liberty’s and Harrods.
Angela’s business career flourished in Hertford where she and her late husband Roy ran Wiggintons, selling furniture, gifts and toys. Following his passing in 2006 Angela set about winding up the businesses. It was some time later that she attended an art class in Tenerife, where she and Roy had shared a holiday home. From the first lesson she was hooked and has pursued her new hobby earnestly ever since. She is the first to admit that her new found passion for painting in oils has become a key part of her life , either in her studio or plein air.
