Shirley Keeble - 2018

Artist in water-colour, mixed media and acrylics. Shirley is inspired by her rural surroundings and her garden. The paintings often include a mixture of the imaginary within the reality to enhance the drama or colour of the painting.

A past member of the Society of Botanical Artists, elected to membership in 1986 and also a past member of the United Society of Artists elected in 1988. Shirley was awarded the Silver Medal for the 'Britain in Bloom' competition at The British Water-Colour Society Exhibition in 1990 and the 'Osbourne Butler Award' in 1992. The BWS also awarded 'Highly Commended' for her flower painting entries.

Shirley has exhibited in this country since 1982 and also has work in private collections around the world. Her work was shown in New York as part of a collection by an English patron of flower paintings.

Many of Shirley's paintings have been reproduced by publishing companies for cards, calendars and Limited Edition prints and book covers.
