Sarah How - 2026
Sarah was born in North West London in 1973 and spent her early childhood in South Wales, near the sea. She then returned to live in Middlesex and has now settled in the St Albans area. During these early years, Sarah spent many hours with her grandparents, her grandfather a photographer and allotment keeper and her grandmother a seamstress. These influences fired Sarah’s imagination from an early age.
Soon after returning from university, she was offered her first solo exhibition by Watford Area Arts Forum at the nationally known Palace Theatre. It was around this time, she met her partner, wildlife photographer Andy Sands. Many solo and joint Exhibitions followed.
Sarah's work has been sold at The Spring Fair, N.E.C, Birmingham, The Ideal Home Exhibition in London, The Antiques for Everyone Exhibition in Birmingham and Obsidian Art in Buckinghamshire. Her work can be found in many private collections, including The Weatherspoon Collection. Her work is currently on display at The Picture Maker Gallery in Watford and in a permanent display at St Luke's Church in Bricket Wood, St Albans.
Sarah gathers her inspiration and ideas from many sources. Her consistent sketchbook practice provides her with a constant source of reference and ideas.
