Sally Bassett - 2018
Sally’s art work is lively, bright and dynamic. After a number of years in teaching Sally took an honours degree in Fine Art. Sally now divides her time between the Chiltern village of Aldbury and the wild sea coasts of the West Country. Sally’s work starts with small drawings and gouache paintings collected in her small sketch book which she always carries with her. Inspiration comes from walks in the countryside through the seasons. The starting point could be a field of daffodils or buttercups, sheep in the fields, bluebells, a field of poppies or waves pounding the shore.
