Ryan Belmont - 2025
Ryan Belmont is a creative director and emerging artist whose work explores the emotional resonance of colour through still life. With over two decades of experience in the commercial design world—most notably for global brands like Nike—Ryan is now shifting his creative focus from commerce to craft, exploring slower, more intentional ways of seeing and making.
His artistic practice is rooted in the use of bold, expressive colour palettes, drawing from a long-standing fascination with visual storytelling and composition. Working in both watercolour and oil, Ryan captures quiet, everyday scenes—objects, arrangements, and moods—rendered with a sensitivity to form and tone shaped by years of creative direction.
This transition to painting represents a return to instinct: a re-engagement with material, light, and colour away from the pressures of branding and production. Though early in this journey, Ryan’s work carries a visual confidence informed by decades of shaping imagery in the commercial world, now redirected toward a more personal visual language.
Ryan lives and works in Hertfordshire, continuing to evolve his studio practice alongside select creative projects.
