Roxana Parker - 2022

Roxana has always enjoyed creativity and nature. At the age of seven her school teacher entered her into an art competition in Harpenden for which she won 2nd prize and a WHSmith book token. She bought a lovely nature book with it which she still treasures today. The memory of this encouragement stays strongly with her and encourages her to move forward, as does her husband James who is her top supporter!

Roxana loves to express herself through her artwork in a free and loose way making bold marks, often as she listens to uplifting music. She enjoys using bright colours and lots of texture by various mediums and collage elements especially. Mostly using acrylic paint along with inks and various other media, she likes to take an experimental, intuitive approach to her art. She makes art she loves and hopes will bring pleasure and joy to others too.
