Richard Wheeler - 2022

Richard's landscapes, seascapes and river paintings are in a semi-abstract, impressionistic genre. The relationship between art and poetry, especially of river and sea, is reflected in his work. He paints mainly with a palette knife in oil and acrylic. The ambience of his painting includes the Hampshire and Dorset coast, and the dramatic Jurassic coastline further west. Nearer home in Hertfordshire he seeks to capture the spirit of the Chilterns and surrounding areas. He has exhibited at galleries in Christchurch and Lymington and at exhibitions across Herts, Bucks and North London.
