Michael Lawrence - 2023
Mike has been keen on art from school with a passion for drawing and painting all manner of subjects. His main bent is town and rural landscape.
Since the start of 2020, and more prevalently since starting his retirement in June 2022, Mike has set about capturing his hometown of Ware and surrounding rural areas on canvas in oils with a series of landscapes. He mostly paints on location and can often be seen in and around town with his easel. Mike enjoys the interaction of chatting to the locals of a location about the location’s history, and the landscape painting process.
Mike has had great successes selling his landscapes both straight from the easel while plein air painting and through galleries and art shows in the Hertford and Ware area.
