Mary Hyde - 2022
Painting became a total destress for me. I am a single mum of 2 young children, and when lockdown was enforced I found myself quite lost and alone. I ordered some paints and canvases and this is where it all started. I like to use vibrant colour to create cheerful and uplifting pieces. I love getting messy with acrylic by flicking paint on to the canvas.
I hide a dragonfly in every painting in memory of my dad. It started as a fun thing for my children to find, and it still is to this day. My own little game of Where's Wally!
