Lilian Gilder - 2026
Lilian Guilder has lived in Hertfordshire for the entirety of her life. Her paintings are much inspired by the surrounding countryside of her home, but are also imbued with the memories and experiences of places that she has visited.
Working with acrylic paints and inks, she unashamedly adds hints of silver and gold to her work, in order to capture the magic of everyday happenings.
Lilian’s aim is to weave a visual narrative of fauna and flora, and often folk who happen across her gaze. Relationships and companionship feature heavily in her pieces, whether between people and animals, or the landscape and the weather.
Lilian completed a foundation course in art, and has continued her practice through life drawing and working en plein air.
