Leon Barnes - 2026
Leon is a dedicated oil painter with a work history in sign writing and model making which developed his love for detail. Detail plays a major role in his painting, drawn to light and shadows and the effect this has on the overall picture. Leon is a process driven artist often working Alla Prima creating a fusion of contemporary, yet traditional work.
He likes light and shadows and the effect this has on the overall picture from the dappling of light on the woodland floor or the lifelike texture of an animal’s coat; and paints landscapes capturing their beautiful, vibrant colours and textures.
Leon has exhibited and sold many works through various art fairs and exhibitions. He takes great pleasure discussing his work and process and takes time and care when discussing with clients how to bring their commission visions to life.
