Laura Creasey - 2025
Laura is an Abbots Langley based wildlife and pet portrait artist who specialises in colour pencil creating colour rich, life like portraits that capture the movement and personality of animals.
Laura has loved drawing ever since she was at school but always felt restricted by what was expected. She never felt she could draw something just because she liked it so decided to go into a career in teaching rather than following her passion. Laura completed a degree in Art and Education studies in 2007 and qualified as a primary school teacher in 2008. She has taught in various different schools over the years full time and part time.
In 2021, she picked up a pencil again for the first time in years while recovering from a back injury. She fell in love with drawing again and for the first time tried colour pencil as a medium and just drew what she wanted to. Her work aims to capture the beauty and intricate detail of the wildlife that surrounds us.
