Kate O'Neill - 2026
Kate is an enthusiastic printmaker based in Finchley, North London. Mainly working in reduction lino cuts, her work focuses on human connections to each other and the natural world. Her images often stem from her love of photography and have a particular focus on light and mood. She believes the connection to an image is not only visual but also emotional.
Kate has said: “success for me is not about technical perfection and not solely about the decorative element, but about the ability to transport the viewer and successfully evoke a feeling or atmosphere”.
Whilst Kate’s formal career was based in buying homewares for a large supermarket, after taking timeout to raise her two boys she found a love of printmaking through evening classes at Oaklands Collage, St Albans. She now works from a home studio using a hand press.
