David Stone - 2025
David's early career was spent working in advertising in London. He lived in north Hertfordshire for 30 years, gaining artistic inspiration from the surrounding rural countryside before moving to his present home in Oxford where he now has his studio. These natural elements remain a strong thread which has continued through the development of his art across the changing light and seasons around Oxfordshire.
He enjoys painting in oils to render the effects of light and space at specific moments which evoke the eye and the senses. His approach involves using layers of paint, whether in oil or watercolour, to infuse effective realistic impressions.
David is a natural self-taught landscape artist. His work is displayed in various exhibitions in Hertfordshire and Oxfordshire with which he has strong spiritual connections.
